Full-Time Equipment Operator (40 hours/week)
(DZ License required)
Rate of Pay: $23.44-24.94 (As per CUPE Local 3 Agreement) plus OMERS Pension Plan and Health/Dental Benefits
Hours of work: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. -4:30 p.m.
Summary of Duties:
- Operate all equipment, in all seasons, necessary to maintain the municipal roads & ditches i.e. grader, dump trucks, snow plows and attachments, backhoe, excavator, bush hog, chainsaw, etc.
- May be required to complete manual labour such as digs ditches, clear fallen trees, shrubs, patching, etc. to maintain required landscaping on roadside.
Ideal Candidate:
- Must be physically able to do the work
- 2 years experience preferred
- Training and/or certification for the operation of specialized equipment such as; grader, backhoe, snow plough, pressurized steamer, dump trucks, chainsaws.
**Must possess valid “DZ” driver license
